 The CID is divided into four units:

 

Crimes Against Persons are criminal offenses such as murder, sexual assault, robbery, assault, harassment, cyber crimes, ect. Crimes Against Persons usually refers to a crime which is committed by direct physical harm or force being applied to another person.

 

Property Crimes are criminal offenses such as burglary, larceny, theft, motor vehicle theft, and criminal mischief. Property Crimes only involves the taking of money or property, and does not involve force or threat of force against a victim.

  

Financial Crimes are criminal offenses such as identity
theft, debit/credit card abuse, and fraud.

  

Special Operations division is comprised of SWAT, Negotiations, K-9, Mounted and Bicycle Patrols, and Narcotics Investigations.  Please click on the Special Operations tab for more detailed information.
